Mr. Jide Aminu, FIIN   
Executive Secretary

Born on 14th March 1960 in Lagos, Mr. Olajide Aminu is a holder of the Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) He has about two decades of professional experience as Insurance Underwriter, broker and administrator.

A 1985 holder of Higher National Diploma in Insurance from the Lagos State Polytechnic, Mr. Aminu obtained the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London 11991 and that of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in 1992. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from the Delta State University in 1999.
He cut his professional teeth with Trans Nigeria Assurance Co. Ltd in 1985 as a Motor Insurance Underwriter.

He also had brief stints with crusader Insurance Co Ltd, Sentinel Assurance Company Limited and Asset and Liability Insurance Company Ltd where he was at various times Risk Analyst, Reinsurance and Claims Manager. In 1992 Mr. Aminu joined Alliance A General Company as Assistant Director Technical. In 1994, he joined Royal Trust Assurance Company as Assistant General Manager Operations. He was the General Manager/CEO Royal Trust Assurance Company between 1996 and 2000 and Deputy General Manager of Standard Trust Assurance Pic from 2001 - 2003 from where he joined the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers as Executive Secretary in 2003.

Mr. Aminu is an Associate of the certified Pension Institute of Nigeria, and holds membership of the Lagos Country Club, Institute of Directors, Nigerian Institute of Management and current Secretary General of the African Insurance Brokers Association (AIBA). He is a recipient of several Awards of Excellence.
